Author Heather Brown Moore
Heather was born in Providence, Rhode Island, but spent most of her childhood in Orem, Utah. During these years, her family traveled back and forth between the Middle East and Utah. At the age of eight, while living in Egypt, she was baptized in the Red Sea. Heather attended the Anglican School of Jerusalem from 1987-88, and returned again to Jerusalem with her husband in 1994.
Although Heather graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in Fashion Merchandising and minor in Business Management, she always dreamed of writing novels. That opportunity came in 2001 when her husband moved his home office to an outside location. The empty office with a blank computer screen was too tempting for Heather to resist.
Heather is a member of the League of Utah Writers and LDStorymakers. She has served as a Chapter President and Chapter Secretary of the League of Utah Writers. Heather has received several awards from the League for her national fiction work. Committed to honing her writing skills, she meets each week with a writer's critique group. Heather lives in Lehi, with her husband Chris, and their four children, Kaelin, Kara, Dana, and Rose. She also enjoys reading, sewing, and spending time with her family.

A Healthy Holiday Recipe using Young Living Oils With Thanksgiving just days away, we’d like to share with you a recipe for a delicious pumpkin pie, which takes advantage of the healthful properties of YL Essential Oils in place of dry spices, in this favorite Thanksgiving dessert. A special thanks to Judy Jehn for this recipe.
Spiced Pumpkin Pie using Young Living Essential Oils
Preheat oven to 375° F
1/4 + 1/8 cup Young Living’s Blue Agave, or your favorite sweetener
2 large organic eggs
2 drops cinnamon essential oil
2 drops ginger essential oil
1 drop clove essential oil
1 drop nutmeg essential oil
¼ tsp salt 1 cup fresh organic pumpkin puree
1 ½ cups heavy (double) cream, scalded
One unbaked pie shell
In a large bowl, whisk together the agave and eggs until well blended. Add the cinnamon, ginger, clove and nutmeg essential oils and the salt. Mix well. Add the pumpkin puree and scalded cream and whisk until smooth. Pour into the pie shell. Bake the pie for 10 minutes at 375° F, reduce heat to 350° F and continue baking for 35 – 45 minutes until the filling is firm in the center. Test the center with the tip of a knife; if it comes out clean, the pie is done. Serve with whipped cream. -----
